NEEDLE Valve

A Needle Valve is designed to provide precise control or isolation of gas and fluid flow. Its fine-threaded stem and narrow, tapered seat allow gradual adjustments, enabling smooth regulation of flow rates with zero leakage and enhanced operational safety. Manually operated using a Tee Bar or Handwheel, the Needle Valve controls the distance between the non-rotating tip and the valve seat. Turning the handle in one direction lifts the tip to allow flow, while rotating it in the opposite direction reduces flow or completely shuts the valve. Commonly used to regulate or isolate flow and to protect sensitive instruments from sudden pressure surges, Needle Valves are ideal for systems handling light fluids and low flow rates. They can also be adapted for demanding applications, including high-temperature and oxygen service environments. G12FM Gauge Valve

The ‘G12’ Type 2 valve manifold is designed for remote mounting to static pressure transmitters. The separate vent valve gives full control of venting of the instrument, plus the ability to calibrate in-situ. Each needle valve head is designed for safe and reliable isolation, giving bubble-tight shutoff, with non-rotating, anti-galling tip and dynamic self-adjusting spindle seal to give long service life in a variety of service conditions. Oliver Valves G12FM, Female x Male, this particular gauge valve provides metal to metal seating and a small-bore isolation valve for many applications while providing the option to vent to the atmosphere.

The G12FM gives the ability for isolation, calibration and venting within a single unit, which will then eliminate leak paths within specific oil and gas applications. The G12FM is supplied as standard with a non-rotating tip to allow linear closure while eliminating galling. Oliver Valves’ standard Gauge valves are rated to 413bar (6,000psi) but can also be rated at 689bar (10,000psi). Standard Temperature range from 240 Deg C up to 540 Deg C.
